Will the app be updated to reflect the new purple-lidded glass recycling bin?

Yes. Once the new glass recycling service begins in July 2025, the app will update to show the correct collection schedule, ensuring you know when to put out each bin.

How often will my bins be collected?

There are no changes to your existing bin collection schedule. The new purple-lidded glass recycling bin will be collected once every four weeks (monthly), while your general rubbish, mixed recycling, and organics collections will remain the same.

Do I have to use the app?

No, using the app is optional. Residents can still:

  • Check bin collection schedules on Council’s website
  • Download and print a collection calendar
Who can use the app?

The app is designed for all Strathbogie Shire residents who receive a Council kerbside waste collection service.
