Under clause 9 of Community Local Law No. 6, it is an offence to leave a shopping trolley anywhere other than on the trolley owner's premises or in an area provided by the trolley owner or Council and designated for such purpose.
Abandoned shopping trolleys are unsightly and can pose a hazard to pedestrians and motorists, as well as cause significant environmental damage if they should enter our waterways. You can report abandoned trolleys to your nearest supermarket or you can contact Council on 1800 065 993.
Strathbogie Shire Council welcomes feedback from its residents and will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible.
If you would like to keep in contact with Council and stay up to date with the latest Council news, please register your details here.
