Artbox Workshop: Indigenous Weaving

Isobel Morphy-Walsh a proud Nirim Baluk women from the Taungurung people. Isobel comes from storytellers and weavers and continues both of these practises through her own contemporary and creation story-telling, singing and dramatic performance.

Isobel’s visual arts is wide ranging and includes many mediums. Her art work can be found in State collections, over walls she passes, on the bodies of people she knows.
Many a yarn, spoken word and song can be heard in her presence.
This exhibition will be Isobel’s first solo showing of her work on her ancestral country in Ruffy.
