Dead and fallen timber are an important habitat for our native flora and fauna. This means that firewood collection for domestic use is only permitted on lower conservation roadsides throughout the municipality.
A Roadside Firewood Collection permit is required to collect firewood on Councils roadsides. These are available from Council's Customer Service Staff and cost $16.00 per cubic meter. Staff are able to help you determine which roadsides are suitable or alternatively you can use the below map.
Please note:
Collection is only permitted from roads that have a Medium Conservation rating (Yellow) or no conservation rating (no colour)
