Council and community to improve Euroa Township

Thursday, 9 August, 2018

Strathbogie Shire Council is calling on the community to provide feedback and ideas about how we can improve the look and function of the Euroa Township.

This comes as part of the development of the Euroa Township Strategy which will provide a long-term vision and action plan for Euroa over the next ten years.

Manager Investment and Planning, Emma Kubeil said this process has started with the development of an Issues and Opportunities Report.

“The Issues and Opportunities report identifies opportunities for residential and commercial development, and looks at a variety of things such as car parking, the upcoming Inland Rail Freight project and other factors that will contribute to the future look and function of the Euroa Township,” Mrs Kubeil explained.

How can I get involved?

The report and surveys are available at the following locations:

  • Council Offices, 109A Binney Street, Euroa
  • Euroa Hub, 50 Binney Street, Euroa
  • Euroa Health, 36 Kennedy Street, Euroa
  • Euroa Library, 62 Binney Street, Euroa

You can also access the report on Council’s website www.strathbogie.vic.gov.au/council/about-council/public-notices and can complete the survey or contribute to the OurSay forum by visiting www.oursay.org/strathbogie

The Strathbogie Shire OurSay platform is a new tool Council is using to consult with the community for ideas, questions and feedback in relation to projects and initiatives, as part of a concerted effort to increase community engagement.

Council also encourages people to come along to a conversation café with staff who will be set up all day on Binney Street on Thursday, 23 August.
