Over $5000 raised by Euroa Red Cross

Tuesday, 7 August, 2018

Euroa Red Cross has fundraised over $5000 over the last 12 months, significantly contributing to humanitarian aid across the globe.

Strathbogie Shire Council recently hosted the Euroa Red Cross Annual General Meeting where this great achievement was celebrated.

Chairman of Euroa Red Cross, Pam Case said she got involved in Red Cross because her mother was a member and has never looked back.

“I really like to be a part of this group and to support a worthwhile cause,” Ms Case said.

Pam said the group’s fundraising efforts were a result of a number of initiatives including a movie afternoon at the Euroa Community Cinema, a Christmas cake raffle, their annual street stall and a barbeque with the Euroa Rotary Club.

Mayor Amanda McClaren attended the Annual General Meeting and said she was blown away by the fundraising efforts of the group.

“The Euroa Red Cross is a fantastic group and their efforts show us the impact a small community can have on other communities across the globe,” Cr McClaren explained.

“This group is able to achieve so much in 12 months and I’d like to congratulate all members for their outstanding efforts.”
