Footpath trading

Footpath trading is an important part of the retail environment and can significantly add to the ambience and enjoyment of an area.
In regulating footpath activities, Council aims to provide a safe environment for people to move by creating a pedestrian zone for people of all abilities.

Fencing abutting Council land

The Strathbogie Shire will contribute half of the cost for construction, replacement or repair (including timber plinth) for standard Colorbond fences abutting qualifying Council-owned properties. This is as per the Fences Act 1968 (Fences Amendment Act 2014). 

Approval must be obtained prior to any repair or replacement of fences that Council has ownership of. The Strathbogie Shire will not consider contributing after works have commenced or are completed.
