The Local Government Act 2020 requires every candidate in a Council election, whether they were successfully elected or not, to lodge an election donation return form within 40 days of election day.
A report must be provided to by the Chief Executive Officer to the Minister for Local Government relating to the candidates in the election and whether election campaign donation return forms were received from them.
The Act also requires the Chief Executive Officer to post a summary of the election campaign donation return forms on its website until just before the next election. Please use the following link to access the summary document.
