Changes to immunisation venues

Strathbogie Shire immunisations will take place nn new venues to cater for social distancing requirements.

Appointments are required for the clinics at the new venues, with the first to be held on 20 May.
Venues are:

  • Euroa Community Cinema from 10am to 11am
  • Nagambie Senior Citizens Hall from 12.30pm to 1pm
  • Violet Town Community Complex from 3pm to 3.30pm.

The immunisation services are provided by Wodonga Council, which also handles all appointments via phone on 1800 655 360.
Please note that only one parent/guardian should accompany a child into the immunisation session.
Immunisations are provided free to all members of the public, across all age groups, for vaccinations on the National Immunisation Program Schedule (NIPS).
Immunisation is a safe and effective way of protecting our community against harmful diseases.
The 2020 Flu vaccine is not yet available for purchase at Council immunisation sessions.

However, community members who fall into the following risk categories may make an appointment to receive their free flu vaccine at any Council immunisation session:

  • Children aged six months to under five years
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged from six months and over
  • Adults aged over 65 years
  • People aged over six months who have certain medical conditions which increase the risk of influenza disease complications – for example, severe asthma, lung or heart disease, low immunity or diabetes
  • Pregnant women (during any stage of pregnancy).
